Spa dentistry. Are legal spas next?

November 10, 2006

Reinventing your law practice as a business that will not only survive – but thrive – in the coming years will take some inventive thinking. Commodity law is dead or dying. Clients can now send routine legal work and contracts to India and other countries that can produce the “legal commodity” much more cost effectively than traditional law firms.

So the key to success in this new world is to recreate the law firm. Take a lesson from Dr. Dennis Lichorwic, owner of the Destin Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. As reported in a recent issue of FloridaSmallBusiness.com, since Dr. Lichorwic established the practice in 1999 he has more than quadrupled the Center’s production and in 2005 moved into a brand new building.

Yogabeach3 How did he do it? According to Dr. Lichorwic, here’s what he’s learned: “People will seek out higher end products and be willing to pay for them if you deliver and actually go beyond their expectations. We provide a service that’s dependable and caring, then try to go a step beyond. Patients can have a hand paraffin wax treatment here, plus a massage chair and headphones for music and movies during procedures.”

What can you offer your clients that no other attorney is offering them?
